Ruby's off to a Fayre at.. Seabright's Barn

Last Sunday Mr S and I packed up the car with our china for our final wedding fair before our own wedding in July and off we went to Seabright's Barn in Great Baddow. This charming venue has only recently launched weddings packages and this was their 1st fair to promote themselves.

Organise by the fab Karen and Sam from Essex Events Company http://www.theessexeventscompany.co.uk, this turned out to be a great event to meet brides, grooms and suppliers. It was also lovely to put faces with all the names of the people we have met since starting our business in January such the wonderful Tracy Williams who might remember supplied us with stunning images for the photography post.

Ruby's was there alongside the Golden Whisk www.thegoldenwhisk.co.uk to serve afternoon tea as afternoon tea should be served of course with proper china and take a look at the result. We also got to show off a wider range of our china and our new postcards!

Ruby's is now able to offer a full afternoon tea package by either contacting us www.rubysvintageteaparty.co.uk or via contacting the Golden Whisk.

As the afternoon ended and the bride and Grooms left for the day, we had the pleasure of meeting Emma Brooks www.emmabrooksmakeup.co.uk and Tina Crossley www.beautifulhair4weddings.co.uk. These ladies had created a beautiful vintage make over and we got this stunning picture with china our china.

So off to another wedding fayre we went..

On a very wet and rainy Sunday we packed up our car and went off to the Selex sport centre in Basildon to a wedding fayre organised by the fab Sarah from Star weddings and craft fairs.

I had managed to convince Mr S that this would be a fun day so had enlisted his help with carrying the heavy stuff ;)

We had a great day meeting all the suppliers and brides to be. First of which was a lovely lady called Amy Jade's who was opposite us and was attending her 1st wedding as a supplier. I was obviously drawn in by her beautiful floral display with a teapot in the middle, at which point I did warn her I might steal it because it looked so delightful! I also loved the cake in a teacup which is a novel take on how to serve dessert to your guests.

Speaking of desserts, I had the pleasure of finally meeting Adam from Parry's ice cream bikes. I absolutely love his vintage inspired ice cream bikes which proves an unusually twist on desserts for your guests and as well as a fun attraction for the day!

Ruby's vintage tea party was lucky enough to have our china displayed on a table mock up, courtesy of Katie from Golden Whisk who offer bespoke catering services for all events. It was lovely to see our china displayed with cake as it should be! Made us hungry just looking at it :)

To top off the party sprit, there was entertainment provided by the beautiful Amy Langmead rocking that stunning purple dress and Joe Fryd who left Mr S and I swaying along.

Ruby's off next to Seabrights barn in Chelmsford on the 13th of May so come and see our china on display

Ruby's off to another Fayre

At Ruby's we are busy preparing for yet another visit to a wedding fayre. This time we will be visiting The Granary in Sudbury on Sunday 25th March from 11am.

We feel extra special about this fayre as firstly it is for charity as the Granary are trying replace the lock gates in the river that runs alongside the Granary and secondly 1 of my dear friends is getting married there in June so I get to have a sneaky peek before the big day!

I always get super excited about wedding fayres as a bride to be and supplier as there is so much excitement as you see the ideas forming for that special day. As a bride to be I sometimes found wedding fayres a little overwhelming because of the huge choice of suppliers at some of them but it is always the ones who take an interest in your special day before selling you their product that win me over. As a bride to be you want to feel special and it is important to find someone who will make you feel like you are the most important even if they have 80 other bookings for that summer!

Well hope to see you all the Granary wedding fayre!

Ruby's off to a fayre!

This month Ruby's Vintage Tea Party went off to our 1st wedding fayre at Dove Barn in Suffolk www.dovebarn.com. We were excited to see what the reaction to our china would be and we weren't disappoint with several brides showing an interest. We also took also 1 of our close friend's sweetie trees with us to liven up the table which you can see above.

We also met some amazing suppliers who were all willing to help a fledgling business such as Ruby's. The 1st of these was Kliq media http://www.kliqweddings.co.uk/ who kindly took some stunning photography of our china which is displayed on our Facebook page  http://www.facebook.com/pages/Rubys-Vintage-Tea-Party/. Great choice for all you brides out there looking for a photographer still!

We also met a fabulous vintage florist who I wish I had found when I was looking for a florist. They seem to be such a rare commodity in the wedding market! The Traditional Vintage Flower Company http://www.tradvintflower.co.uk/  are based in Maldon and use stunning vintage pieces to make up stunning centrepieces for your wedding tables. Check out the amazing gallery on their site.

We had the privilege of meeting another fledgling business at the Dove Barn wedding fair. Original Button http://www.facebook.com/#!/original.button started trading in Feb and provides bridal hairdressing in the Colchester area. I fell in love with the vintage theme of their table!

Well that is all for now - Ruby's Vintage Tea Party will be displaying our china at the Granary wedding fayre on 25th March
